Interview Self-introduction Template: Show Why You Are a Low-risk Hire

A good self-introduction connects role need, your proof, and the value you can add. It should make the hiring logic easy to infer.

Back to all guides

Start with the role need

Open with the problem the company is likely trying to solve. This shows that your answer is about their decision, not only your biography.

Add proof in two or three points

Use facts, examples, and outcomes. Explain how you work, what you learned, and why the experience transfers to the target role.

End with fit, not self-praise

Avoid saying 'I am the perfect candidate'. Give enough evidence that the interviewer can reach that conclusion themselves.
